There's A Hero In All Of Us

My name is Jack Reichert, and in my Freshman year of high school, I founded Masks and Mascots. I wanted to increase school spirit at school after Covid and remind people of the values that make Fremd Vikings strong—being bold, being brave, and knowing we belong. Connection matters, and I contacted our school staff about expanding the role of Victor E. Vike as a starting place. From there, I also began organizing community events around holidays, appearing as the Grinch at local company and school events. It’s exciting to delight people in fun, unexpected ways.  However, one of my favorite outlets for Masks and Mascots is making special visits to children who are fighting serious diseases or facing physical hardship. It is an absolute privilege to create moments of surprise and delight for these children and their families, providing a break from their daily stress and pain.

Masks and Mascots is a non-profit organization that is committed to inspiring people, building compelling brands, and fostering community growth. We collaborate with local families, schools, businesses, and charitable foundations to boost school spirit, cultivate impactful organizational cultures, and encourage and support children battling serious illnesses. We've expanded our vision and now conduct student-led food drives. Our goal is to establish a positive, supportive environment that inspires individuals and marks moments in a meaningful way—so we can make a difference in the lives of those around us.
