Having the right Mascot is actually really important for educational organizations to build strong brands. Mascots personify an organization's values and create a sense of connection and belonging, particularly for children. So, if you're looking to build momentum in your school culture, talk to us about creating a mascot strategy!
High school Football games, pep rallies, Operation Snowball, and even Viking Reading days for local Elementary Schools—it’s been thrilling to see students of all ages light up when Victor E Vike makes an appearance at Fremd High School. Victor is a vital part of the Viking Nation's Culture. Mask and Mascots’ very beginning is rooted in school mascotting. I wanted to increase school spirit at school after Covid and remind people of the values that make Fremd Vikings strong—being bold, being brave, and knowing we belong. I contacted our staff about expanding the role of Victor E. Vike as a starting place. Our team developed a strategy and has had so much fun collaborating to boost school spirit. Go Vikes!
After our success at Fremd High School, I reached out to Immanuel Lutheran School, my alma mater and a basketball powerhouse! I collaborated with the Principal and Athletic Director to pick out a new mascot costume for Bob the Bobcat. I oversaw the purchase and was responsible for its care and maintenance once it arrived. We planned out events where Bob could make an appearance to enhance the Bobcat experience. Eventually, it became necessary to train others to perform as Bob the Bobcat, so the school would have the flexibility to use the costume for various events. Go Bobcats!
